Updated look at the top 10 players available in the transfer portal

·4 min read

The transfer portal has become more and more popular in the wake of the NCAA’s implementation of the one-time transfer rule.

Athletes are able to move to another program without having to sit out a whole season as they did in years past. Whether it be veteran players looking for more playing time at a new program, or breakout players from smaller schools hoping to compete at a higher level, the opportunities are endless.

Michigan State is one of the many teams who have been able to bring in immediate contributors via the transfer portal to turn around their program. Texas is hoping to do the same after signing a crown jewel from the portal in five-star quarterback Quinn Ewers.

While many of the nation’s top players in the portal have already found a new home, there’s a handful of talented athletes that are still on the board.

Taking into account that former TCU running back Zach Evans is expected to land at Ole Miss, here are 247Sports’ top 10 overall players in the transfer portal that are not projected to land with a particular program at this time.
