Undefeated flyweight Muhammad Mokaev meets Jafel Filho at UFC 286 in London

A flyweight matchup between Muhammad Mokaev and Jafel Filho is the latest addition to March’s UFC 286 lineup.

Mokaev (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC), an undefeated 22-year-old prospect with hopes of becoming the youngest champ in UFC history, will look to continue his assent up the division when he takes on Filho (14-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at the March 18 event, which takes place at The O2 in London and airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.

MMA Junkie verified the booking with multiple people close to the situation following an initial report from ESPN’s Brett Okamoto. The people requested anonymity because the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Mokaev is undefeated in his career through 33 professional and amateur fights. He’s proven to be largely dominant thus far in the octagon, beating all three of his opponents in convincing fashion. The competition hasn’t been elite, but that’s not for a lack of trying, because Mokaev is frequently calling out highly ranked names.

Looking to spoil Mokaev’s streak will be octagon newcomer and Dana White’s Contenders alum Filho, a 29-year-old from Brazil who earned his UFC contract in September with a third-round TKO win.

The latest UFC 286 lineup now includes:

  • Leon Edwards vs. Kamaru Usman – for welterweight title

  • Rafael Fiziev vs. Justin Gaethje

  • Roman Dolidze vs. Marvin Vettori

  • Gunnar Nelson vs. Daniel Rodriguez

  • Luana Carolina vs. Joanne Wood

  • Malcolm Gordon vs. Jake Hadley

  • Jennifer Maia vs. Casey O’Neill

  • Jai Herbert vs. Ludovit Klein

  • Lerone Murphy vs. Nathaniel Wood
