UND to wear helmet stickers for former Minnesota Duluth forward Adam Johnson
Nov. 9—DULUTH, Minn. — UND will be wearing helmet stickers for this weekend's series at Minnesota Duluth to honor former Bulldog forward Adam Johnson.
Johnson died two weeks ago when a skate blade cut his neck during a professional game in England.
He was 29.

Johnson played two seasons for Minnesota Duluth from 2015-17, leading the Bulldogs to the NCAA Frozen Four as a sophomore. He scored the overtime winner in the Fargo Regional final against Boston University to send Minnesota Duluth to the Frozen Four in Chicago.
After his sophomore season, he signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Johnson played 13 NHL games for Pittsburgh.
Johnson was in his second season playing in Europe. Last season, he played in Augsburg, Germany. This was his first season in Nottingham, where he was teammates with former UND forward Westin Michaud.
UND and Minnesota Duluth will play at 7:07 p.m. Friday and 6:07 p.m. Saturday in AmsOil Arena.
