UNC basketball set to meet with transfer target on Tuesday

Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program have been active in the transfer portal following a disappointing 2022-23 season. With three of UNC’s players in the portal and potentially more decisions looming, the Tar Heels’ staff will need to hit the portal hard to fill the roster spots for next season.

And just a week after reaching out to a former Towson guard, they are set to meet in home with him.

Per Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers, the Tar Heels are scheduled to have an in-home visit with Nick Timberlake on Tuesday afternoon. This will be one of two in-home visits for Timberlake this week. Ohio State will be in on Wednesday:

UNC will have a need for a guard in its 2022-23 lineup, and Timberlake could fill that. Last year, Timberlake averaged 17.7 points per game and shot 45% from the field. He also shot 42.3% from the 3-point line.

Timberlake is a two-time first-team All-CAA selection and has been one of Towson’s best players.

UNC will have some competition in the pursuit of Timberlake. In addition to Ohio State, both Kansas and UCLA have been involved.
