UFC 275 went down Saturday in Singapore and the 11-fight card will go in the books as one of the best events of the year.
The headlining act produced a historic result. Jiri Prochazka (29-3-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) came out on the winning end of a brutal battle with Glover Teixeira (33-8 MMA, 16-6 UFC) to claim the light heavyweight title with a fifth-round submission.
In the co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko (23-3 MMA, 12-2 UFC) faced the toughest test of her women’s flyweight title reign. Brazilian challenger Taila Santos (19-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) pushed the champion to a split decision\, but ultimately couldn’t claim the strap.

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $258,000.
Prochazka, Teixeira, [autotag]Zhang Weili[/autotag], [autotag]Jake Matthews[/autotag], [autotag]Jack Della Maddalena[/autotag], [autotag]Hayisaer Maheshate[/autotag] and [autotag]Silvana Gomez Juarez[/autotag] earned $50,000 UFC 275 fight-night bonuses.
Debuting fighters went 1-0 on the card.
UFC 275 drew an announced attendance of 10,787 for a live gate of $1,546,732.
Betting favorites went 8-3 on the card.
Betting favorites improved to 13-6 in UFC headliners this year.

Jiri Prochazka def. Glover Teixeira
Prochazka improved to 22-1-1 in his past 24 fights dating back to June 2013.
Prochazka earned his first submission victory since Mar. 21, 2014 – a span of 3,005 days and 22 fights.
Prochazka has earned 28 of his 29 career victories by stoppage.
Prochazka’s victory at the 4:32 mark of Round 5 marked the second-latest finish in UFC championship fight behind Demetrious Johnson’s win over Kyoji Horiguchi at 4:59 of Round 5 at UFC 186.
Teixeira suffered the first submission loss of his career.
Valentina Shevchenko def. Taila Santos
Shevchenko’s nine-fight UFC winning streak is _ longest among active fighters in the company behind _.
Shevchenko improved to 9-0 since she dropped to the UFC flyweight division in February 2018.
Santos has suffered both of her career losses by split decision.
Zhang Weili def. Joanna Jedrzejczyk

Zhang earned the 10th knockout in UFC history stemming from a spinning backfist. She was the first female to accomplish the feat.

Jedrzejczyk fell to 2-5 in her past seven fights dating back to when she lost the UFC strawweight title in November 2017.
