UFC 267 commentary team, broadcast plans set: Bruce Buffer’s incredible PPV streak ends
The UFC’s busy October schedule comes to a close this week with UFC 267 on Saturday at Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
As always, some marquee on-air talent will be there to help guide viewers through the experience.
Details of who will be working as commentators and analysts for each event have been acquired by MMA Junkie through a person with knowledge of the plans, and you can see the scheduled broadcast team below.
UFC 267 broadcast
Etihad Arena
UFC 267’s main card streams on ESPN+ for residents in the U.S. beginning at 2 p.m. ET. Prelims also stream on ESPN+ and are tentatively slated to begin at 10:30 a.m. ET.
In the U.S., UFC 267 is available with just an ESPN+ subscription. It remains a pay-per-view in countries outside of the U.S.
UFC 267 desk analysts
Chael Sonnen
Lead UFC play-by-play man Jon Anik will host the post-fight show. Joining him at the desk to provide analysis for the event will be three-time UFC title challenger [autotag]Chael Sonnen[/autotag] and ESPN MMA reporter Brett Okamoto.
UFC 267 roving reporter
John Gooden
Longtime UFC correspondent and commentator John Gooden will conduct pre- and post-fight interviews backstage with some of the athletes on the card, as well as report additional real-time updates for the event.
UFC 267 octagon announcer
Joe Martinez
Noted octagon announcer Joe Martinez will take the reins from Bruce Buffer as he’s set to introduce the fighters before battle.
Buffer will miss a numbered/pay-per-view UFC card for the first time since UFC 11 in September 1996, breaking an unfathomable streak of 255 consecutive numbered events as cage announcer.
UFC president Dana White revealed at the UFC 267 pre-fight press conference that Buffer has COVID-19 and opted not to make the trip to Abu Dhabi.
UFC 267 cageside commentators
Paul Felder
Jon Anik will serve as the leading man on the mic from cageside. He will command play-by-play alongside a pair of color commentators in former two-division UFC champion [autotag]Daniel Cormier[/autotag] and retired UFC lightweight contender [autotag]Paul Felder[/autotag], who will step into Joe Rogan’s spot in the booth for this pay-per-view event.
Rogan does not typically call UFC events that take place outside of North America. He is expected to return to the booth at UFC 268 in New York on Nov. 6.
