HOUSTON – Just ahead of the vacant lightweight title fight at UFC 262, another pair of 155-pounders will clash.
Beneil Dariush (20-4-1 MMA, 14-4-1 UFC) and Tony Ferguson (25-5 MMA, 15-3 UFC) made weight Friday for the co-main event at the official weigh-ins at the UFC host hotel in Houston. Ferguson, a former interim lightweight champion, was 156 pounds. But Dariush, one of the final three fighters to come to the scale, was 156.5 on his first attempt. He was given an additional hour to shed the extra half-pound, and when he came back he was 156.
Dariush and Ferguson meet in the UFC 262 co-feature ahead of Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler’s headliner for the vacant lightweight title. Check out highlights of Dariush and Ferguson and their trips to the scale in the video above.
UFC 262 takes place Saturday at Toyota Center in Houston. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+.
