Big East regular season honors were announced on Thursday and the UConn women's basketball team cleaned up, to say the least.
The highlight was Paige Bueckers, who took home not just Freshman of the Year but also Player of the Year in the conference. Maya Moore, a UConn legend, was the only other player to accomplish that.
Bueckers led the Huskies this season with 19.8 points and 6.2 assists per game while shooting 47.6 percent from three-point land.
Other than Bueckers, head coach Geno Auriemma was once again named Coach of the Year in the Big East, marking his 17th time winning the award.
Olivia Nelson-Ododa was also named Co-Defensive Player of the Year, with 40 total blocks on the season helping that out. She made the All-Big East Second Team as well.
Aaliyah Edwards was named the Sixth-Woman of the Year as a freshman, working off the bench with an insane 70.4 field goal percentage on the season. She joined Bueckers on the All-Big East Freshman Team.
Finally, along with Bueckers, Christyn Williams was named to the All-Big East First Team. She totaled 15.4 points per game in her junior year.
