UConn standout guard James Bouknight announced that he will be entering the 2021 NBA Draft.

Bouknight took to Twitter to tell the world of his decision, thanking head coach Dan Hurley and everyone else that got him to this point in his basketball career.

"It's been an honor to put on the UConn jersey every day," the Brooklyn native wrote. "I've grown so much as a player here but more important as a person. I will cherish every experience I've had over the last 2 years and I truly believe every one of those experiences has prepared me for success as I move forward in my career."

Over his two seasons with the Huskies, Bouknight was an immediate impact player, averaging 13 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game as a freshman with a 46.2 field goal percentage. He took a leap in his sophomore year with 18.7 points on 44.7 percent shooting with 5.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

At the next level, Bouknight may have to work on his jumper, shooting just 29.3 percent from beyond the arc last season and 32 percent for for his career. But he's an electric guard that can got to the cup with a variety of moves, a skill teams value in the NBA.
