Tyler Summitt welcomes first daughter, named after mother and Lady Vols legend Pat Summitt

There's a new member of the Summitt family as of Tuesday.

Tyler Summitt, son of legendary Lady Vols coach Pat Summitt, welcomed a daughter to their now family of five Tuesday. He named her after his mother, whose full given name was Patricia, giving her the name Patricia Lakelyn Summitt.

Tyler and his wife, Brooklyn, also have two sons: Breck, who's four years old, and Rocky, who turned one in November.

Summitt and his family live on the banks of Choctaw Lake in London, Ohio. He still remains involved with the Pat Summitt Foundation, which he started with his mother after her diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimers in 2011. Summitt continues to make public appearances on behalf of his mother as well, most recently at her posthumous induction to the Team USA Hall of Fame.

The foundation continues to raise money and awareness for the disease Pat eventually passed away from in 2016. At Tennessee's annual "We Back Pat" game this season, it was announced that $138,500 was raised for the foundation.

There were also two checks presented for $1.55 million from the foundation to the Pat Summitt Clinic at the UT Medical Center and the UT Extension, Family and Consumer Science. The latter was a donation for the creation of Pat's Game Plan, which is a training guide for caregivers of people suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia.
