Two UNC basketball players named to Jersey Mike’s Naismith Men’s Player of the Year Watch List
The 2023-24 college basketball season is officially here, tipping off on Monday as we get set to embark on what should be another fun season around the game the next few months.
As we get set for the start of the season, the 2023-24 Jersey Mike’s Naismith Men’s Player of the Year Watch List has been revealed. And two North Carolina Tar Heels are among the 50 players to be named to the watch list for the season.
Both Armando Bacot and R.J. Davis made the list, announced on Monday morning, representing the Tar Heels and the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Bacot is entering his fifth and final season for the Tar Heels and is considered one of the best players in the nation. He’s already been named a Preseason All-ACC First Team member as well as a Preseason First Team All-American by other publications.
As for Davis, he is entering his senior year and will be in his fourth season as the starter for the Tar Heels.
The duo are the only two starters returning from last year’s team.
