Two opponents will face Chiefs after a bye week in 2023
The 2023 NFL schedule has officially been revealed.
Two of the most difficult opponents that the Kansas City Chiefs will face in 2023 will have extra time to prepare before their matchup with the reigning Super Bowl champions.
Last season, no opponents were on their bye week prior to a matchup with the Chiefs. It was one of the better features of what was considered to be one of the toughest schedules in the league heading into the 2022 NFL season.
In 2023, both the Philadelphia Eagles (Week 13 bye) and the Buffalo Bills (Week 10 bye) will have a bye week before games with Kansas City.

If you’re looking for a silver lining in terms of this particular bit of scheduling news, there actually is one. Both of these two games will be played at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, giving the Chiefs a slight edge in terms of home-field advantage.
Another interesting detail is that the Chiefs share a Week 10 bye week with the Eagles ahead of their Week 11 Super Bowl LVII rematch, which will take place on “Monday Night Football.” So, this is about as close to the real thing in terms of recreating the conditions of the Super Bowl in the regular season as you can possibly get.
