Florida football’s annual Friday Night Lights and team cookout events are just days away but Billy Napier and his staff have already started to get things cooking as top recruits from around the country begin to trickle into Gainesville. The latest names to stop in to see the Swamp are a pair of in-state four-star teammates from Carrollwood Day School in Tampa who hail from the class of 2024.

Wide receiver Bredell Richardson and running back Anthony Carrie plan on visiting the University of Florida on Wednesday, according to Gators Online. The two have received interest from the Orange and Blue dating back to Dan Mullen’s tenure, from which they both received offers. However, scholarships have not yet been extended under Napier’s supervision, but there is still plenty of time remaining for that to change.

Richardson, a 6-foot-1-inch, 185-pound pass-catcher, is currently ranked No. 75 overall and No. 11 in his class nationally according to the 247Sports composite, while the On3 consensus has him at Nos. 77 and 12, respectively. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Gators in front for his talents with a robust 31.6% chance of landing him while the Florida State Seminoles lag behind in second at 9.8% and the Miami Hurricanes third at 8.4%.

Carrie, a 6-foot, 185-pound ball-carrier, is currently ranked No. 94 overall and No. 3 in his class nationally according to the 247Sports composite, while the On3 consensus has him at Nos. 100 and 5, respectively. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Georgia Bulldogs in the lead for the rising junior with a 37.2% chance of snagging him while Florida is second at 11.6% and the South Carolina Gamecocks making things interesting at 9.9%.
