Heading into the third day of the 2022 NFL draft, one of the strongest positions for the Patriots seemed to be in their running back corps. Between Damien Harris, Rhamondre Stevenson, and James White, New England seemed to have that position solidified for the foreseeable future.

Apparently, Bill Belichick and company didn’t see it that way.

The Patriots used one of their Round 4 selections on running back Pierre Strong, who possesses top-end speed that may allow the team to use him in a variety of roles. However, Belichick wasn’t done picking from the running back pool, going back to it in Round 6 to select Kevin Harris, a larger back better known for his strength.

Suffice to say, Twitter was not entirely pleased with New England’s Round 6 selection.
