Twitter reacts to disastrous Cowboys season continuing in Washington originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
Entering the 2020 NFL season, some national experts predicted the Dallas Cowboys as a darkhorse contender for the top seed in the NFC. Instead the wheels have fallen off, and quickly.
The Cowboys lost their franchise quarterback Dak Prescott for the season to a brutal injury, but even before then the defense was atrocious. Week after week they've had to dig themselves out of insurmountable holes. And, for the most part, they haven't been able to do it.
The easiest game on their schedule to date was Sunday's matchup with the Washington Football Team, but even that didn't go well for Washington's biggest rivals.
The Cowboys have allowed 20+ points in the first half of 6 straight games.

Former Cowboys defensive lineman Marcus Spears and his fellow ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky certainly weren't impressed by Dallas' performance on Sunday either.

And of course, there's the meme that keeps on giving.
The Cowboys were actually underdogs on the road in Week 7, but the Washington Football Team has had their way with the Cowboys defense in a manner nobody could have predicted.
