Twitter ran wild after Kevin Durant visited Golden State's new arena
Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant helped lead local media and others on a tour of the Chase Center — the new arena in downtown San Francisco set to open and host the Warriors next season — on Friday afternoon.

KD getting a lot of love from Chase Center workers. They told him he’s the first player to be on what will be on the floor in the new facility. “I can see a lot of points being scored here,” he says. pic.twitter.com/9hyJU3aG9L

As the arena is still a live construction site, everyone on the tour had to wear protective gear.
Upon seeing pictures of Durant in his hard hat, goggles and vest, the Internet — naturally — had some fun.

All jokes aside, though, the arena tour is likely another attempt to get Durant to re-sign with the team next summer when he hits free agency.
By the sounds of it, Durant seemed pretty excited walking through the new arena.
“I can see a lot of points being scored here,” Durant said, via ESPN’s Nick Friedell. “My imagination is going wild right now with possibilities.”
We’ll see if it works.
