Twitter offers mixed reactions after Bears draft punter Trenton Gill originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

And by special, we mean special teams. The team selected NC State punter Trenton Gill with the 255th overall pick in the seventh round on Saturday, completing its 11-man draft class.

The Bears needed a replacement punter after veteran Pat O’Donnell signed with the rival Green Bay Packers this offseason. O’Donnell ranked 19th in the NFL last season with an average punt of 46.2 yards.
