TV, commentators set for Georgia-LSU in the SEC championship

The Georgia Bulldogs play the LSU Tigers in the 2022 SEC championship. The two teams met in the 2019 SEC championship.

A lot has changed since the two programs met in 2019. Quarterback Joe Burrow and LSU won the national championship in 2019. Georgia won the 2021 national championship, but lost in the 2021 SEC championship to Alabama. Additionally, LSU fired head coach Ed Orgeron and hired Notre Dame’s Brian Kelly.

Georgia (12-0, 8-0) and LSU (9-3, 6-2) exceeded expectations in 2022. Nobody in the preseason media poll voted for LSU to win the SEC West. Georgia lost 15 players to the 2022 NFL draft, but still managed to go undefeated for a second consecutive regular season.

The 2022 SEC championship will be televised on CBS and will kick off at 4 p.m. EST on Dec. 3. Brad Nessler will call the game’s play-by-play. Gary Danielson will serve as an analyst, and Jenny Dell will be the game’s sideline reporter.
