Truro City: Boss Paul Wotton content with point at Dartford

Truro City boss Paul Wotton described Tuesday's goalless draw at Dartford as "a good point".

Truro, who are 19th in National League South and one place above Dartford, remain two points above the relegation zone but have games in hand on the sides around them.

"100% it is a good point and a clean sheet is good too. Overall, I think 0-0 is a fair result," Wotton said.

Truro still have 10 matches remaining this season as they play catch up.

At a rain lashed Meadow Park neither side could break the deadlock with Truro in the midst of playing 13 games in 28 days.

"We were positive in possession, we doubled up in the wide areas, their 'keeper makes an unbelievable save and we also have a really good chance from a corner," Wotton added.

"A real good thing about tonight is that the boys are a bit down in the changing room and I love that. They are not settling for (a draw) and we have a fast turnaround for Friday.

"I said to them that they were terrific and I enjoyed the work rate and endeavour. We had some real togetherness and yes, Dartford had a chance near the end, when Tom Harrison makes an unbelievable block, but apart from that, not a lot else.

"Overall I am really pleased and I can take a lot of positives."

They now face Slough Town on Friday and Chippenham on Monday.
