Trevor Bauer surprised his dad with a new truck on Christmas
Cleveland Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer is the latest baseball player to surprise his family on Christmas. Bauer decided to give his new dad a truck for the holiday, and made sure to film the exchange.

His dad’s reaction was pretty great.
Merry Christmas everyone! Favorite thing about my job is that it affords me the opportunity to do nice things for the people I care about and help them live more fulfilled lives. Love you dad! And, ‘tis the season, so a lump of coal to everyone on my blocked list. You grinches. pic.twitter.com/wGVSexKiA3

As Bauer states in the video, his dad has been driving the truck Bauer drove in high school. The video then changes to footage of Bauer taking his dad outside to see the new truck for the first time.
Bauer’s dad’s reaction is easily the best part of the video. His voice gets high pitched at certain points, and he seems legitimately surprised about the truck. It’s also fun to note he calls Bauer “Buster,” and had nicknamed his old truck the “Buster Buggy.” He also called Bauer a “silly rascal.”
So, what did Bauer’s dad think about his new gift. He ends the video by saying, “This is a good truck.”
Bauer’s far from the only baseball player to surprise his family this holiday season. Kansas City Royals draft pick Brady Singer paid off his parents’ debt in an emotional video.
Bauer did give out a couple other gifts too. In his tweet introducing the video, Bauer made sure to let people know he is dedicating a “lump of coal” to everyone on Twitter he’s blocked. That could be a pretty long list.
