There was a moment during the Kansas City Chiefs' White House visit that could make even Cincinnati Bengals fans snicker.

Former Cincinnati Bearcats standout and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce tried to make a few remarks after the team presented President Biden with a Kansas City jersey. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes quickly moved toward the podium and pushed Kelce away from the mic after Kelce said, "So, I've been waiting for this …."

"Sorry. Sorry!" Mahomes said as he waved and escorted Kelce back toward the rest of the team.

Kelce smiled as if in on the gag, so it wasn't as awkward as when he spiked the ceremonial first pitch at a Cleveland Guardians' game in April into the grass, failed to recognize Bengals head coach Zac Taylor in a photo or claimed no one picked the Chiefs to win Super Bowl 57.
