Travis Kelce won’t be at the Grammys with Taylor Swift — here’s why

Swifties are patiently waiting for Traylor to make their official red carpet debut, but unfortunately, Travis Kelce won’t be able to join Taylor Swift for her big night at the Grammys.

The Kansas Chiefs tight end has work obligations that night, as he’ll arrive in Las Vegas to prepare for the Super Bowl, where they’ll face off with the San Francisco 49ers.

Leading up to the big game on Feb. 11, Kelce will be on a strict schedule but expressed his disappointment for not being able to attend on “The Pat McAfee Show.” When asked whether he’d be on the red carpet, he said he wishes he could “watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for,” but he has to focus on football.

Looks like Swift will have to find another plus one for music’s biggest night. She’ll likely have a lot to celebrate, as she up for six awards: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

While we won’t see the couple at the Grammys, it’s highly likely Swift will be cheering on her man at the 2024 Super Bowl game.

And the “Lover” singer has shaken off any criticism about her presence at NFL games telling TIME magazine, “ “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she added.

“The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
