Travis Kelce’s mom Donna ‘not sure’ about his Thanksgiving plans
The Kelce family will have trouble getting together for Thanksgiving even in their wildest dreams this year.
Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna, said doesn’t know her son’s schedule for the holiday, given that his NFL calendar has very few blank spaces.
“I’m not quite sure what Travis’ plans are,” Donna Kelce told People magazine, noting that it’s been tough to organize a family gathering since Travis and his older brother, Jason, went off to college. “Ever since they were in college, we’ve always been on the road.”
Kelce, 34, and Taylor Swift reportedly spent Halloween together in Kansas City. But even if there’s no bad blood, they’ll have trouble repeating a holiday celebration for Thanksgiving.
NFL teams typically practice on Thursdays and Fridays every week, holiday or not, meaning Kelce will probably be in Kansas City during the Nov. 23 holiday.
Swift, 33, may know places, but an upcoming leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour will take her to Sao Paulo, Brazil from Nov. 24-26.
However, the Kelce family will have a chance to celebrate shortly before the holiday. Jason’s Philadelphia Eagles play Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs in Kansas City on Nov. 20 for Monday Night Football.
Swift will have trouble making it to the game, even if they wish she would. She’ll play a show in Rio De Janeiro on Nov. 19. But the 12-time Grammy-winner has shown her commitment to jet-setting for Kelce in the past, traveling from Los Angeles to Kansas City to New York in the span of four days for a movie premiere, a Chiefs game and a “Saturday Night Live” date.
If Swift can’t make it, Kelce will just have to shake it off.
