Transfer 101: TJ Simmons

West Virginia continued its run of adding transfers into the football program when former Alabama wide receiver TJ Simmons announced that he would be finishing his career in Morgantown.

Simmons, 6-foot-2, 205-pounds, enrolled early at Alabama as a class of 2016 prospect and saw action in 12 games on the field this past season primarily on special teams. However, this spring he took a step forward in the wide receiver rotation and was expected to challenge for serious time at that spot.

The former four-star prospect hauled in six passes for 82 yards and a touchdown in the Crimson Tide spring game but elected to transfer to West Virginia after taking a visit to campus.
