Trade Value Rankings 2.0: The Top 100 in the NBA

With free agency around the corner again, we’re entering a new transactions cycle that will come with many trades. This is why HoopsHype prepared these Trade Value Rankings.

The HoopsHype staff voted on these players and compiled this list. We arrived at this conclusion after weighing factors such as a player’s talent, age, availability, positional scarcity, current salary, and what their next contract could look like.

The ranking will be updated constantly as events such as new contracts, injuries, and changes in performance occur.

For now, we’re going with Giannis Antetokounmpo, the perennial MVP candidate with a ton of prime years ahead of him, at No. 1 in the Trade Value Rankings.

Here it is…

POINT GUARDS / SHOOTING GUARDS / SMALL FORWARDS /
POWER FORWARDS / CENTERS

Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee)

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $188,855,520 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 29.9 ppg, 11.6 rpg, 5.8 apg, 55.3 FG%, 29.3 3P%
Agent: Alex Saratsis

Even if the Bucks window were to close soon and another team offers all their best young players as well as all the picks and swaps they can possibly offer for Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee would probably hang onto him. His value for the franchise extends beyond the court.

Luka Doncic (Dallas)

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $212,280,000 till 2026-27
2021/22 stats: 28.4 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 8.7 apg, 45.7 FG%, 35.3 3P%
Agent: Bill Duffy

Doncic might be the most difficult player to scheme against and has given some of the top defenses fits on a nightly basis. It’s not unreasonable to project him to finish his career out as a Top 25 player all-time or even better. That idea has several franchises sleeping poorly at night for not selecting him when they had the chance.

Nikola Jokic (Denver)

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $33,047,803 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 27.1 ppg, 13.8 rpg, 7.9 apg, 58.3 FG%, 33.7 3P%
Agent: Jeff Schwartz

Jokic’s immense value was put to the ultimate test when he propped up a team of mostly role players this season to nearly 50 wins in a stacked conference. His game should age well over the length of the supermax contract he’s expected to sign, which means he could still return a ransom should the Nuggets decide to trade him down the line.

Jayson Tatum (Boston)

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $134,896,800 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 26.9 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 4.4 apg, 45.3 FG%, 35.3 3P%
Agent: Jeff Wechsler

The promise Tatum showed in his rookie season has finally formed into a consistent superstar. He has proven he can be the number one guy on a championship-contending team when he has the right support group around him. There’s no trade package that could possibly get Boston’s interest for him after the Finals run they had.

Joel Embiid (Philadelphia)

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $229,538,370 till 2026-27
2021/22 stats: 30.6 ppg, 11.7 rpg, 4.2 apg, 49.9 FG%, 37.1 3P%

The two-time MVP runner-up has so much equity in Philadelphia, they probably still wouldn’t consider trading Embiid even if some of his previous injuries start resurfacing into something long-term. He would probably be a little higher on this list if not for his health history.

Trae Young (Atlanta)

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $212,280,000 till 2026-27
2021/22 stats: 28.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 9.7 apg, 46.0 FG%, 38.2 3P%
Agent: Omar Wilkes

Where a lot of the players above are mostly in their primes, Young still has a lot more room for improvement. It’s possible his trade value nears the top of these rankings in the next several years.

Devin Booker (Phoenix)

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $69,849,600 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 26.8 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 4.8 apg, 46.6 FG%, 38.3 3P%
Agent: Jessica Holtz and Melvin Booker

Booker has blown by expectations by being voted into All-NBA First Team this season. Phoenix is way more likely to give him the supermax extension he is eligible to sign this offseason than to consider moving him.

Kevin Durant (Brooklyn)

Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $197,656,908 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 29.9 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 6.4 apg, 51.8 FG%, 38.3 3P%
Agent: Rich Kleiman

Durant’s age and the Nets’ lack of clarity with their other two All-Stars make his situation potentially just a smidge more open to interpretation than the players above. But assuming Kyrie Irving is committed long-term and Ben Simmons is good to go, Brooklyn is unlikely to trade Durant for even the biggest of hauls.

Ja Morant (Memphis)

(AP Photo/Brandon Dill)

Guaranteed money left: $12,119,440 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 27.4 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 6.7 apg, 49.3 FG%, 34.4 3P%
Agent: Jim Tanner

Morant would probably be much higher if not for the occasional lower body injuries he suffers. Look for the Grizzlies to give their franchise player a maximum extension this offseason and to contend with him leading the charge.

Stephen Curry (Golden State)

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $215,353,662 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 25.5 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 6.3 apg, 43.7 FG%, 38.0 3P%
Agent: Jeff Austin

Had Golden State had another disappointing season, we might be talking about their window being closed and speculating the merits of a full rebuild. They’re back in the Finals, though, and already have multiple talented young players in their future pipeline. Look for Curry to retire with the Warriors, especially since any other outcome could alienate their fanbase.

Donovan Mitchell (Utah)

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $134,896,800 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 25.9 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 5.3 apg, 44.8 FG%, 35.5 3P%
Agent: Ty Sullivan

If the Jazz were to move Mitchell, they should be able to extract all the young players and future draft picks a team has to offer. With all that said, they are expected to do everything in their power to make things work with him, as they should.

Karl-Anthony Towns (Minnesota)

Christine Tannous-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $69,849,600 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 24.6 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 3.6 apg, 52.9 FG%, 41.0 3P%
Agent: Jessica Holtz

Like Booker, Towns is also eligible to sign the supermax extension this offseason and is much more likely to sign it than be traded. But if either he or the Wolves feel differently and were to consider separating, Towns should command a Harden-to-the-Nets level haul.

LaMelo Ball (Charlotte)

Guaranteed money left: $8,623,920 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 20.1 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 7.6 apg, 42.9 FG%, 38.9 3P%
Agent: Raymond Brothers

Ball has silenced the doubters after leading a mediocre roster to two straight trips to the play-in tournament. He should slowly climb up these rankings with more consistency and some defensive improvement.

Evan Mobley (Cleveland)

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $8,478,720 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 15.0 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 2.5 apg, 50.8 FG%, 25.0 3P%
Agent: Thaddeus Foucher

The nearly co-Rookie of the Year is already one of the most impactful defenders in the NBA, and he could be near the top of this list very soon. Cleveland’s future is looking extremely bright with him and Darius Garland as their franchise players.

Damian Lillard (Portland)

(AP Photo/Amanda Loman)

Guaranteed money left: $136,920,252 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 24.0 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 7.3 apg, 40.2 FG%, 32.4 3P%
Agent: Aaron Goodwin

After over a year of speculation on his future as the Blazers traded everyone around him, Lillard still remains committed to the organization. He probably would’ve been several spots higher on this list last year after coming off a career season last year, and he could go down further if he signs the maximum extension he will become eligible for this offseason.

Brandon Ingram (New Orleans)

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $101,500,200 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 22.7 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 5.6 apg, 46.1 FG%, 32.7 3P%
Agent: Jeff Schwartz

Ingram had a strong playoff debut against Phoenix and is looking like he could be an excellent first or second option on a contender. This should eliminate any possibility that the Pelicans listen to offers on him now that they’re a playoff team.

Jaylen Brown (Boston)

David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $59,464,285 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 23.6 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 3.5 apg, 47.3 FG%, 35.8 3P%
Agent: Jason Glushon

Brown is one the best secondary stars in the league and still has room to potentially become a great No. 1 option. He’s on track not only to command maximum contract offers league-wide but could also qualify for a supermax extension should he earn All-NBA honors next season.

Anthony Edwards (Minnesota)

Guaranteed money left: $10,733,400 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 21.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 3.8 apg, 44.1 FG%, 35.7 3P%
Agent: Omar Wilkes

Anthony Edwards made one of the most seismic leaps in improvement between the majority of last season and this season. His on-the-ball scoring ability gives his potential no bounds, and he should climb these rankings soon as he contains it.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City)

nba trade rumors rankings 2021 draft day night shai gilgeous alexander lakers kyle kuzma ben simmons bradley beal damian lillard
nba trade rumors rankings 2021 draft day night shai gilgeous alexander lakers kyle kuzma ben simmons bradley beal damian lillard

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $176,900,000 till 2026-27
2021/22 stats: 24.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 5.9 apg, 45.3 FG%, 30.0 3P%
Agent: Thaddeus Foucher

Oklahoma City could probably get a package of picks similar to the amount they received for Paul George for Gilgeous-Alexander if they wanted to extend their rebuild. Look for the Thunder to continue developing him and their lottery picks and to start competing soon.

Zion Williamson (New Orleans)

2021-22 new orleans pelicans preview nba rumors trade free agency zion williamson unhappy brandon ingram
2021-22 new orleans pelicans preview nba rumors trade free agency zion williamson unhappy brandon ingram

Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $13,534,817 till 2022-23
Agent: Austin Brown

Williamson’s trade value is a little tricky to gauge right now, but it is still very high despite his injury history. It’s not unreasonable to think he could be in the Top 10 of this list should he come back and build off his strong 2020-21 season.

Bam Adebayo (Miami)

(AP Photo/Wilfredo Lee)

Guaranteed money left: $134,896,800 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 19.1 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 3.4 apg, 55.7 FG%
Agent: Alex Saratsis

Adebayo being this high while being a center on a maximum contract is a testament to how impactful a defender he is. He is the ideal type of big man a team would want to compete at the highest levels, and that makes him virtually untradeable.

Cade Cunningham (Detroit)

Guaranteed money left: $10,552,800 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 17.4 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 5.6 apg, 41.6 FG%, 31.4 3P%
Agent: Jeff Schwartz

Cunningham likely would’ve been much higher on this list had he started the year stronger. A full season playing at a high level and an improved record by the Pistons, should have him skyrocket above these rankings next year.

Kawhi Leonard (LA Clippers)

(AP Photo/Marcio Jose Sanchez)

Guaranteed money left: $136,920,252 till 2024-25

Leonard was looking like arguably the best player in the league during the 2021 playoffs. He would probably be up there next to Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry in these rankings had he played this year.

Jimmy Butler (Miami)

Guaranteed money left: $184,049,331 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 21.4 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 5.5 apg, 48.0 FG%, 23.3 3P%
Agent: Bernie Lee

Butler had yet another brilliant playoff performance carrying a significant load of the Heat’s offense. Most teams would love to have him, but his upcoming contract extension could lower his price over time. His work ethic and continual durability could make him a good bet to meet the value of it, though.

LeBron James (LA Lakers)

nba trade rumors rankings lakers jazz lebron james russell westbrook rudy gobert donovan mitchell
nba trade rumors rankings lakers jazz lebron james russell westbrook rudy gobert donovan mitchell

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $44,474,988 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 30.3 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 6.2 apg, 52.4 FG%, 35.9 3P%
Agent: Rich Paul

James’ trade value remains high despite his age and what he brings both on and off the court. It’s also possible he doesn’t have trade value at all at the same time, largely because he has always picked his destination and could probably get to where he wants to in a trade should he request one.

Pascal Siakam (Toronto)

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $73,342,080 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 22.8 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 5.3 apg, 49.4 FG%, 34.4 3P%
Agent: Todd Ramasar

Siakam bounced back from a down year that had people doubting whether he’s worth a maximum contract and speculating fake trades for him. Toronto still needs to upgrade the roster to make the next step, and they’re likely to do so while building around him.

Rudy Gobert (Utah)

Jeffrey Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $169,655,173 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 15.6 ppg, 14.7 rpg, 2.1 bpg, 71.3 FG%
Agent: Bouna Ndiaye

Gobert is the first player on this list who might have a realistic shot at getting traded this summer. Despite the doubts on his viability in the playoffs, he is still a generational defender whose value would command multiple talented young players and future first-round picks.

Anthony Davis (LA Lakers)

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $121,800,240 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 23.2 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 3.1 apg, 53.2 FG%, 18.6 3P%
Agent: Rich Paul

Davis finds himself just outside the Top 25 of this list after going through a second consecutive down season that was also injury-riddled. It’s hard to see him not improve next year, but it’s unclear if he will regain his 2019-20 form that would’ve put him at least in the Top 10.

Darius Garland (Cleveland)

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $8,920,795 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 21.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 8.6 apg, 46.2 FG%, 38.3 3P%
Agent: Rich Paul

Garland’s ascent from a good starting point guard to an All-Star has already made him invaluable. He will likely receive a maximum contract extension offer this offseason and should slowly rise up these rankings over the next several seasons.

Scottie Barnes (Toronto)

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $7,644,600 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 15.3 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 3.5 apg, 49.2 FG%, 30.1 3P%
Agent: Bill Duffy

The Rookie of the Year has the makings of a star and should at least rise 10-15 spots in these rankings next season based on his trajectory.

Zach LaVine (Chicago)

David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

2021/22 stats: 24.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 4.5 apg, 47.6 FG%, 38.9 3P%
Agent: Rich Paul

A large part of LaVine’s trade value is his $19.5 million salary, making the All-Star one of the biggest contractual values in the league. It will be interesting to see how it holds up now that he’s set to nearly double his annual salary when he presumably signs a maximum contract this summer.

Dejounte Murray (San Antonio)

Guaranteed money left: $34,285,120 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 21.1 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 9.2 apg, 46.2 FG%, 32.7 3P%
Agent: Rich Paul

Murray’s ascent into being an All-Star and one of the best defensive guards in the league has completely changed his trade value over the last season. One of the more underrated aspects of his game he’s improved on is his three-point shooting, which leaves room for his value to further increase.

Khris Middleton (Milwaukee)

(AP Photo/Morry Gash)

Guaranteed money left: $78,344,828 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 20.1 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 5.4 apg, 44.3 FG%, 37.3 3P%
Agent: Jeff Schwartz

Middleton has had tremendous trade value when he was earning $13-15 million annually, and it’s held up while making north of $30 million. If the Bucks wanted to capitalize and sell high on him now, they could probably get one of the top picks of the upcoming draft for him.

Paul George (LA Clippers)

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $136,920,252 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 24.3 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 5.7 apg, 42.1 FG%, 35.4 3P%
Agent: Aaron Mintz

There was a lot of pushback on George’s maximum extension in 2020 following a disappointing playoff performance against Denver. He has bounced back since and remains a maximum-level player, but the Clippers are unlikely to receive close to what they originally traded to acquire him should they make him available.

Bradley Beal (Washington)

Guaranteed money left: $36,422,136 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 23.2 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 6.6 apg, 45.1 FG%, 30.0 3P%
Agent: Mark Bartelstein

Beal’s name has been in trade rumors for over a year now, and the Wizards probably could’ve gotten a massive haul for him last year. Unfortunately, his recent wrist injury, surprising shooting slump, and upcoming maximum contract may have lowered his value. Time will tell if this is just a short-term setback and if he can raise his value back higher.

Tyrese Maxey (Philadelphia)

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $2,726,880 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 17.5 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 4.3 apg, 48.5 FG%, 42.7 3P%
Agent: Rich Paul

The Sixers are extremely fortunate not only to have a third potential star in Maxey but to have him earn less than $3 million in the next two seasons as they navigate challenges building the roster. He should steadily climb these rankings and maintain strong value on his next contract.

Desmond Bane (Memphis)

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $2,130,240 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 18.2 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 2.7 apg, 46.1 FG%, 43.6 3P%
Agent: Jim Tanner

Bane might be the biggest draft steal in recent memory, and like Tyrese Haliburton and Tyrese Maxey, his small salary currently makes his trade value extremely high. Their salaries alone make them virtually untradeable right now, though, since they give their current teams more flexibility to build a contender now than later when they need to get paid.

Mikal Bridges (Phoenix)

Mikal Bridges celebrates a play

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $90,000,000 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 14.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 2.3 apg, 53.4 FG%, 36.9 3P%
Agent: Sam Goldfeder

Bridges’ $90 million extension is set to kick in, and he’s already looking like a great value on it. He could probably command multiple good future first-round picks, but the Suns are likely to hold onto him even if they’re blown away by offers since defensive wings like him are extremely hard to come by.

Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana)

Gregory Fisher-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $4,215,120 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 15.3 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 8.2 apg, 47.3 FG%, 41.4 3P%
Agent: Aaron Mintz

It’s possible that the Kings sold low on Haliburton, considering he appeared on this list way before Domantas Sabonis. It’s possible his value rises by another 15 spots relatively soon based on his trajectory and potential.

Jrue Holiday (Milwaukee)

David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $108,476,241 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 18.3 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 6.8 apg, 50.1 FG%, 41.1 3P%
Agent: Jason Glushon

Holiday might be higher on this list if not for the recent extension he signed that will have him earning close to $40 million at age 35. In the meantime, he remains an All-Star caliber player with a strong impact on winning playoff games.

Jordan Poole (Golden State)

Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $3,901,399 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 18.5 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 4.0 apg, 44.8 FG%, 36.4 3P%
Agent: Andrew Morrison

Poole’s ascent completely changes Golden State’s title odds in both the present and future. He’s so ingrained in their system it seems unlikely they would part with him even if doing so in combination with some of their other young players and future draft picks gets them a Top 25 player.

Deandre Ayton (Phoenix)

2021/22 stats: 17.2 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 1.4 apg, 63.4 FG%, 36.8 3P%
Agent: Bill Duffy and Nima Namakian

It’s possible Ayton gets sign-and-traded for very little this offseason, but that’s mostly because teams rarely get equal value back for great players in those types of deals. His trade value should remain high going forward, even after getting a significant raise.

Fred VanVleet (Toronto)

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $44,074,074 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 20.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 6.7 apg, 40.3 FG%, 37.7 3P%
Agent: Brian Jungreis

VanVleet is due for a raise, likely starting during the 2023-24 season, either via an extension or free agency. Should the Raptors decide to go in another direction, they could probably get a haul for him after the All-Star season he just had.

Draymond Green (Golden State)

Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $53,392,692 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 7.5 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 7.0 apg, 52.5 FG%, 29.6 3P%
Agent: Rich Paul

Green’s value has fluctuated recently, especially due to injuries and doubts on if his game will age well. He has squashed those doubts after the season he and the Warriors just had and would likely command multiple first-round picks should he somehow become available.

James Harden (Philadelphia)

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $47,366,760 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 22.0 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 10.3 apg, 41.0 FG%, 33.0 3P%
Agent: Lorenzo McCloud

Harden being this low while peers like DeMar DeRozan and Chris Paul are higher might have more to do with Harden’s current contractual situation. He can remain the same player and have a much higher trade value if his next contract has him earning $30-40 million annually instead of $50-60 million.

Jarrett Allen (Cleveland)

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $80,000,000 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 16.1 ppg, 10.8 rpg, 1.6 apg, 67.7 FG%, 10.0 3P%
Agent: Jim Tanner and Derrick Powell

Allen is now worth way more than the late first-round pick Cleveland gave up to acquire him. If the Cavaliers decide to trade him down the line, they should be able to receive multiple first-round picks for him, especially at his reasonable $20 million annual salary.

Chris Paul (Phoenix)

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $44,200,000 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 14.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 10.8 apg, 49.3 FG%, 31.7 3P%
Agent: Steve Heumann

Considering all the Suns gave up for Paul was the 30th pick in this year’s draft, it’s clear they should be able to extract much more than that should they decide to trade him this offseason. His contract structure, which only has one guaranteed season left, reduces the risk of age-related regression for interested teams.

Marcus Smart (Boston)

Guaranteed money left: $77,087,996 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 12.1 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 5.9 apg, 41.8 FG%, 33.1 3P%
Agent: Jason Glushon

In 2020 there was some discourse if Smart’s trade value was worth the second overall pick in that year’s draft. After a career year where he won Defensive Player of the Year and helped lead the Celtics to the Finals, it wouldn’t be outrageous for a team to offer a high lottery pick for him.

Domantas Sabonis (Sacramento)

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $37,900,000 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 18.9 ppg, 12.1 rpg, 5.2 apg, 57.3 FG%, 31.2 3P%
Agent: Greg Lawrence

Sabonis’s value was thought to be equivalent to the two first-round picks and talented young player the Magic originally received for Nikola Vucevic. The Kings should be able to extract a similar package should they suddenly decide to pivot from him.

Miles Bridges (Charlotte)

2021/22 stats: 20.2 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 3.8 apg, 49.1 FG%, 33.1 3P%

Bridges could be looking at a new contract in the $25 million annual range, which should be indicative of how valuable he is perceived in the league.

Guaranteed money left: $55,900,000 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 27.9 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 4.9 apg, 50.4 FG%, 35.2 3P%
Agent: Aaron Goodwin

DeRozan might’ve had one of the biggest rises in trade value compared to last season. His All-NBA season and ridiculous mid-range shooting probably has teams that previously weren’t interested in him willing to give up more than a first-round pick.

Tyler Herro (Miami)

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $5,722,116 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 20.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 4.0 apg, 44.7 FG%, 39.9 3P%
Agent: Jeff Schwartz

Herro’s trade value could be revealed soon if the Heat choose not to extend him. He should have lots of suitors, and it will be interesting to see if a package including Herro and multiple future first-round picks can be enough to get a player higher on this list.

Jalen Green (Houston)

(AP Photo/Michael Wyke)

Guaranteed money left: $9,441,840 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 17.3 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.6 apg, 42.6 FG%, 34.3 3P%
Agent: Aaron Mintz

Green may not have had quite the season some of the rookies above him had, but he is just as untouchable as them. Look for him to make a big leap next season.

Jaren Jackson Jr. (Memphis)

Guaranteed money left: $104,720,000 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 16.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.1 apg, 41.5 FG%, 31.9 3P%
Agent: Austin Brown

Jackson Jr.’s value would probably be much higher if we’re purely looking at his skill. As of now, it might be limited by his excessive fouling, which made him a liability in the playoffs at times.

Ben Simmons (Brooklyn)

Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $113,680,224 till 2024-25
Agent: Rich Paul

Simmons’ trade value plummeted with his refusal to play for the Sixers, which put his commitment to basketball in doubt. Still, he is so talented that he could easily be 60 spots higher on this list had he played this season.

Josh Giddey (Oklahoma City)

Guaranteed money left: $6,287,400 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 12.5 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 6.4 apg, 41.9 FG%, 26.3 3P%
Agent: Alex Saratsis

Giddey seems to be part of the next great Thunder team alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and whoever they select in this year’s draft. He should rise through these rankings over the next few seasons.

Nikola Vucevic (Chicago)

(AP Photo/Carlos Osorio)

Guaranteed money left: $22,000,000 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 17.6 ppg, 11.0 rpg, 3.2 apg, 47.3 FG%, 31.4 3P%
Agent: Bill Duffy

Vucevic had quite the down season, especially from the three-point line, as he struggled to get his shot going with his new team. His value might not ever get to the level of return Chicago originally gave up to get him, but a bounce-back season could get him closer to it.

Andrew Wiggins (Golden State)

Guaranteed money left: $33,616,770 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 17.2 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.2 apg, 46.6 FG%, 39.3 3P%
Agent: Andrew Morrison

Wiggins went from one of the league’s worst contracts to arguably one of the better value wing players. He is now extension-eligible and could get a new long-term deal with the Warriors after the successful season they just had.

OG Anunoby (Toronto)

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $55,928,571 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 17.1 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 2.6 apg, 44.3 FG%, 36.3 3P%
Agent: Omar Wilkes

With Scottie Barnes in Toronto’s plans, Anunoby could be the centerpiece of significant trade in the future. His elite defense and his team-friendly deal make him appealing to any team.

CJ McCollum (New Orleans)

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $69,135,802 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 22.1 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 5.1 apg, 46.0 FG%, 38.8 3P%
Agent: Jeff Schwartz

McCollum’s current annual salary might be a little too rich for many teams, which is what likely limited Portland’s return when they traded him. His play so far for the Pelicans may have already raised his trade value above the one first-round pick they gave up for him.

Robert Williams (Boston)

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $48,892,860 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 10.0 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 2.0 apg, 73.6 FG%
Agent: Kevin Bradbury

Williams’ value is intriguing to gauge. On one hand, he’s been invaluable for the Celtics in their Finals run and will to earn just over the mid-level exception. At the same time, his availability has been poor, and he’s missed time at the worst possible stretches. If he continues to improve and plays in enough games, he could be 20 spots or so higher on this list.

Herb Jones (New Orleans)

Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $3,621,096 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 9.5 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.1 apg, 47.6 FG%, 33.7 3P%
Agent: Kieran Piller

Jones is locked into a minimum salary over the next two seasons and could make an All-Defense team during the stretch. He’s arguably one of the biggest bargains in the league, and his salary will help the Pelicans navigate roster-building challenges as they near the luxury tax.

Franz Wagner (Orlando)

(AP Photo/Matt Slocum)

Guaranteed money left: $5,258,280 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 15.2 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.9 apg, 46.8 FG%, 35.4 3P%
Agent: Jason Glushon

It’s still uncertain who Orlando plans to select with the first overall pick in this year’s draft. Despite it likely being a frontcourt player, Wagner is still untouchable for the Magic as his trade value should soar over the next few seasons.

Kyrie Irving (Brooklyn)

(AP Photo/Seth Wenig)

Guaranteed money left: $36,934,550 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 27.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 5.8 apg, 46.9 FG%, 41.8 3P%
Agent: Shetellia Riley Irving

Irving would easily be 30 spots higher on this list if not for his unavailability and the uncertainty on if he would even play for any team other than Brooklyn. As of now, it’s hard to tell if he even has positive trade value.

RJ Barrett (New York)

Guaranteed money left: $10,900,635 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 20.0 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.0 apg, 40.8 FG%, 34.2 3P%
Agent: Bill Duffy

Barrett’s current value may be in the eye of the beholder, mainly because any team that trades for him has to be prepared to give him a lucrative raise on his next contract. The Knicks ideally would like to build around him, but he could be the centerpiece of a trade that returns them an All-Star should a team demand him.

Myles Turner (Indiana)

(AP Photo/David Zalubowski)

Guaranteed money left: $18,000,000 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 12.9 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 2.8 bpg, 50.9 FG%, 33.3 3P%
Agent: Bill Duffy

Indiana could be open to moving Turner right now if the right offer comes along. A handful of teams like Charlotte, Dallas, and Toronto could use him, which would create a bidding war for him.

Jamal Murray (Denver)

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $101,500,200 till 2024-25
Agent: Jeff Schwartz

Murray would probably be 20-30 spots higher had he played this season. A healthy bounceback season could put him back in that range.

De'Aaron Fox (Sacramento)

Sergio Estrada-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $134,896,800 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 23.2 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 5.6 apg, 47.3 FG%, 29.7 3P%
Agent: Chris Gaston

Fox’s value is limited by his maximum contract, which kept him in Sacramento at the trade deadline whether he was or wasn’t the guard wanted to keep. There is still room for him to rise in these rankings with an All-Star appearance and improved shooting.

Lonzo Ball (Chicago)

Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $61,395,349 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 13.0 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 5.1 apg, 42.3 FG%, 42.3 3P%
Agent: Rich Paul

Ball is one of the best defensive guards in the league and would be considerably higher on this list if not for already missing significant time in his career with injuries. Unless these injuries continue to persist, look for the Bulls to keep him as he’s been excellent for them in his limited minutes so far.

John Collins (Atlanta)

Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $102,000,000 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 16.2 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 1.8 apg, 52.6 FG%, 36.4 3P%
Agent: Jeff Schwartz

Like Bogdan Bogdanovic, Collins could also be a part of a consolidation trade for the Hawks. It’s also possible they look to move him for an equally talented frontcourt player who could improve their defense.

Julius Randle (New York)

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $106,444,800 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 20.1 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 5.1 apg, 41.1 FG%, 30.8 3P%
Agent: Aaron Mintz

Randle’s value cratered after signing his four-year, $106.4 million extension and immediately regressing back to the mean. It could continue to decline if he doesn’t regain his All-Star form while on an ascending contract.

Cameron Johnson (Phoenix)

Rob Gray-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $5,887,899 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 12.5 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.5 apg, 46.0 FG%, 42.5 3P%
Agent: Ty Sullivan

Johnson might be one of the most underrated players in the league due to having a limited role off the bench for a stacked Suns team. He should steadily climb these rankings if he eventually starts assuming he gets a team-friendly extension.

Malcolm Brogdon (Indiana)

Erik Williams-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $67,600,000 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 19.1 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 5.9 apg, 44.8 FG%, 31.2 3P%
Agent: Austin Brown

Brogdon is expected to be on the trade market this offseason now that the Pacers have Tyrese Haliburton. A package including a first-round pick and a good young player could end up being the price to acquire him.

Anfernee Simons (Portland)

(AP Photo/Steve Dykes)

2021/22 stats: 17.3 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 3.9 apg, 44.3 FG%, 40.5 3P%
Agent: Bill Duffy

Simons would’ve been higher on this list and gotten more consideration for Most Improved Player had his season not gotten cut short by an injury. He is now entering restricted free agency and seems like a good bet to return to Portland on a lucrative long-term deal.

Tobias Harris (Philadelphia)

Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $76,903,200 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 17.2 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 3.5 apg, 48.2 FG%, 36.7 3P%
Agent: Torrel Harris

Harris remains a great role player, but his contract has limited his trade value over the last few seasons. With only two years left on it, his value has slowly grown solely based on the passage of time.

Jonathan Kuminga (Golden State)

Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $11,206,200 till 2022-23

Guaranteed money left: $9,398,148 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 13.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 2.8 apg, 61.8 FG%
Agent: Michael Tellem

Poeltl garnered a lot of trade interest during the trade deadline after elevating himself to being one of the league’s better rim protectors. He is due for a raise soon with his contract running out, and it will be interesting to see if the Spurs want to pay him or potentially trade him with a year left on his deal.

Jerami Grant (Portland)

Guaranteed money left: $20,955,000 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 19.2 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.4 apg, 42.6 FG%, 35.8 3P%
Agent: Mike Kneisley

Grant’s three-year $60 million contract raised many eyebrows when he signed it, but it turned out to be a great value.

Luguentz Dort (Oklahoma City)

(AP Photo/Carlos Osorio)

Guaranteed money left: $0 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 17.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.7 apg, 40.4 FG%, 33.2 3P%
Agent: Thaddeus Foucher

Dort’s four-year minimum contract is running out of time, and he is currently eligible to extend for $14 million annually for multiple years. He should still maintain strong trade value on a raise in that range and could potentially get more if he hits restricted free agency.

Jonas Valanciunas (New Orleans)

Guaranteed money left: $30,135,000 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 17.8 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 2.6 apg, 54.4 FG%, 36.1 3P%
Agent: Aaron Mintz

Valanciunas is another player the Pelicans acquired who is already worth more than the price they traded to get him, especially now that he’s under team control for another two years. If New Orleans decided to make an upgrade at center, he could be the centerpiece of that trade package along with some draft picks.

Clint Capela (Atlanta)

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $62,588,176 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 11.1 ppg, 11.9 rpg, 1.3 bpg, 61.3 FG%
Agent: Darren ‘Mats’ Matsubara

Capela should be much higher on this list should he regain his 2020-21 form. There is no rush to trade him now, but he could be available down the line when Onyeka Okungwu is due for an extension, assuming he develops into a starter.

Cole Anthony (Orlando)

(AP Photo/Jeff Chiu)

Guaranteed money left: $3,613,680 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 16.3 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 5.7 apg, 39.1 FG%, 33.8 3P%
Agent: Jeff Schwartz

Anthony’s emergence gives Orlando a lot of options for their guard situation, especially if Jalen Suggs pans out. If they ever decide to move on from Anthony, they should be able to extract a lot of value for him.

Terry Rozier (Charlotte)

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $94,539,789 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 19.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 4.5 apg, 44.4 FG%, 37.4 3P%
Agent: Aaron Turner

It’s possible Rozier’s trade value declined a bit after capitalizing on a four-year, $96.3 million extension last offseason. His value could be displayed if the Hornets decide to trade him to clear room for new contracts for Miles Bridges and PJ Washington.

Gary Trent Jr. (Toronto)

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $36,290,000 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 18.3 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 2.0 apg, 41.4 FG%, 38.3 3P%
Agent: Rich Paul

Trent’s value could be limited by his short contract, which effectively makes him an expiring contract this season since he has a player option for the 2023-24 season. Any team that trades for him might have to be prepared to give him a raise should he enter free agency in 2023.

Bogdan Bogdanovic (Atlanta)

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $36,000,000 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 15.1 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 3.1 apg, 43.1 FG%, 36.8 3P%
Agent: Jason Ranne

Bogdanovic could be included as part of a bigger trade if Atlanta wanted to acquire an All-Star. By himself, he could probably net the Hawks a first-round pick or talented young player.

D'Angelo Russell (Minnesota)

David Berding-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $31,377,750 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 18.1 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 7.1 apg, 41.1 FG%, 34.0 3P%
Agent: Aaron Mintz

Russell and the Timberwolves may be reaching a crossroads with only one year left on his deal. If they don’t extend him, they could trade him if they don’t want to keep him long-term, but they might not get such a strong return considering most teams in the league are set at point guard.

Harrison Barnes (Sacramento)

(AP Photo/John Bazemore)

Guaranteed money left: $18,352,273 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 16.4 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 2.4 apg, 46.9 FG%, 39.4 3P%
Agent: Jeff Schwartz

Barnes has been a solid contributor for the Kings, but they may look to trade him largely because his $18.3 million salary is great for facilitating a deal. It’s possible they look to combine him with the fourth overall pick in this year’s draft for a veteran upgrade.

Keldon Johnson (San Antonio)

Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $3,873,025 till 2022-23
2021/22 stats: 17.0 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 2.1 apg, 46.6 FG%, 39.8 3P%
Agent: Rich Paul

Johnson is one of the bigger draft steals in recent memory and is due for a significant raise in an extension this offseason. He still has a ton of room to grow and could be much higher in these rankings in a couple years.

Immanuel Quickley (New York)

(AP Photo/Eric Gay)

Guaranteed money left: $2,316,240 till 2023-24
2021/22 stats: 11.3 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 3.5 apg, 39.2 FG%, 34.6 3P%
Agent: Sam Permut

Quickley could be on track to start and close games for the Knicks soon, especially with their point guard situation up in the air. His trade value should increase as his role does as well.

Derrick White (Boston)

Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $54,321,429 till 2024-25
2021/22 stats: 13.2 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 4.9 apg, 42.1 FG%, 31.2 3P%
Agent: Mike Lindeman

White’s contributions in Boston’s Finals run have already made him exceed the value of the first-round pick and pick swap they gave up for him. The Celtics might be more likely to offer him an extension down the line than trade him any time soon.

Jalen Brunson (Dallas)

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

2021/22 stats: 16.3 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 4.8 apg, 50.2 FG%, 37.3 3P%
Agent: Aaron Mintz

Dallas had a chance to extend Brunson to four years, $55.6 million, which would’ve made him one of the biggest bargains in the league and skyrocketed his trade value. He could now be looking at a contract for nearly double that amount in free agency.

If Memphis doesn’t extend Clarke, he could be a part of a consolidation trade for a new starter. His trade value increased significantly after his role in defeating the Timberwolves in the playoffs.

Jusuf Nurkic (Portland)

2021/22 stats: 15.0 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.8 apg, 53.5 FG%, 26.8 3P%

Nurkic probably had a lot of trade value over the past few years because of the team-friendly contract he was on. He should still carry some solid trade value even on a higher annual salary.

Dorian Finney-Smith (Dallas)

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Guaranteed money left: $55,560,960 till 2025-26
2021/22 stats: 11.0 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 1.9 apg, 47.1 FG%, 39.5 3P%
Agent: Michael Tellem

The Mavericks will probably be looking to trade for an All-Star this offseason, and Finney-Smith is one of their role players with the most trade value. After his contributions towards reaching the Conference Finals, Dallas could make him off-limits in negotiations.

Lowry may no longer be the All-Star level player the Heat thought they were getting when they sign-and-traded for him. He could fall out of the Top 100 if he doesn’t have a bounce-back season, especially with two years and $58 million remaining on his contract.

Utah will look to reshape the roster around Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert this offseason, meaning everyone else is fair game. However, it’s hard to see the Jazz getting a meaningful upgrade in exchange for Bogdanovic.

Gordon has already raised his value significantly since arriving in Denver by having his best and most efficient season shooting-wise. It goes without saying if they were to trade him today, they should get more than what they gave up to get him.
