Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham return to Premier League action on Wednesday night, after a weekend of FA Cup victories for both. Spurs saw off Marine in emphatic fashion, with young forward Alfie Devine netting his first senior goal in the 5-0 win. Fulham also progressed through the third round, beating QPR 2-0.

However, this is an unexpected meeting for the sides in the league, as Spurs were preparing to face Aston Villa and Fulham anticipated a free week, before a reshuffle of the fixtures was forced due to an outbreak of coronavirus at Villa Park.

The two managers have differing views on this impromptu fixture, with Jose Mourinho praising the quick nature of the switch after Spurs’ original game with Fulham was postponed, but Scott Parker labelled the short notice his team have been given to prepare “scandalous”.

Fulham: Areola, Aina, Andersen, Adarabioyo; Tete, Loftus-Cheek, Reed, Anguissa, Robinson, Cavaleiro, De Cordova-Reid

Tottenham - 5/12

Draw - 43/10

Fulham - 8/1

Spurs’ opponent might have changed but if anything it’s for the better with a home game and weaker team, while Fulham come into this on short notice and not having been planning a fixture at all, making tactical work difficult. Home win as a result. Spurs 3-1 Fulham.
