Top-ranked RCTC women sprint past Minnesota State Fergus Falls

Jan. 20—ROCHESTER — Janae Bennett was perfect from beyond the arc to help the Rochester Community and Technical College women's basketball team stayed perfect in MCAC play with a 77-46 win over Minnesota State Fergus Falls on Saturday in Rochester.

The Yellowjackets — ranked No. 1 in NJCAA Division III — improved to 14-2 overall and 5-0 in conference play.

Bennett led the way, finishing 5-for-5 from 3-point range and 8 of 9 from the field en route to 21 points. Jada James was once again dominant inside for RCTC, recording a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

RCTC is back in action on Wednesday, traveling to take on No. 4 ranked Anoka Ramsey.
