Top pick Williams on Celtics summer league roster

BOSTON – Headlined by first-round pick Robert Williams, the Celtics announced their 13-man summer league roster on Friday.

The Celtics begin play in the Las Vegas Summer League July 6 against the Philadelphia 76ers at 7:30 p.m. EST, followed by games against the Denver Nuggets July 7 (11 p.m.) and Charlotte Hornets July 9 (7 p.m.).

From there, they will enter pool play with each team guaranteed to play at least a total of five games.

The Celtics games against Philadelphia and Charlotte will be telecast live on NBC Sports Boston, live streamed on and available through the NBC Sports App for authenticated subscribers.

Williams, selected with the 27th overall pick last week in the draft, will be joined by second-year Celtics Semi Ojeleye and Guerschon Yabusele. Boston's summer league roster also includes Kadeem Allen and Jabari Bird, who were both on two-way contracts last season with the Celtics. In addition, the roster also includes third-year pro Jarell Eddie, who appeared in two games last season for Boston.
