Point Guard

Ben Simmons - Philadelphia 76ers (vs. Memphis Grizzlies)

With Embiid sidelined for tonight’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Simmons must step up for the 76ers to cover the - 4.5 point spread that we see on Pointsbet.com. Over his last five games, Simmons has averaged 30.2 fantasy points per game with a 40.9 field goal percentage. That’s not good. Simmons always supplies a solid floor for daily fantasy purposes but there’s always been a potentially massive ceiling that goes along with rostering him. Lately, that ceiling is nonexistent but trust me it’s coming. The 76ers last saw the Grizzlies back in January. The Grizzlies won by two 106-104. Simmons played somewhat uneven, shooting 3 for 9 totaling only 11 points but racking up 16 rebounds, and nine assists. This effort resulted in a 28-point game from Shake Milton. Because of this, Milton could be very chalky today. Give me a lower-owned Ben Simmons over a potentially chalky Shake Milton any day of the week. It's one or the other though, not both!

Other PG Option: Jamal Murray - Denver Nuggets (vs. Orlando Magic)

Shooting Guard

Sterling Brown - Houston Rockets (vs. New Orleans Pelicans)

Brown has been getting ample minutes at low salaries on FanDuel, DraftKings, and YahooSports. His production is volatile but even so, he's worth much more than $4,300 on DraftKings, $10 on YahooFantasy, and $4,400 on FanDuel. He’s averaging 27.6 MPG over his last six games. Over this span, he had a 40.1 point ceiling to go along with some very solid efforts against good teams. Taking into account his minutes per game, potential ceiling, and favorable matchup, at his current salaries, sign me up! The New Orleans Pelicans are allowing their opponents to shoot 38.8 % from beyond the arc, this percentage is the 3rd highest in the NBA. The Rockets are underdogs at +175 with a 222.5 O/U on Pointsbet.com.

Other SG Option: Andrew Wiggins - Golden State Warriors (vs. Atlanta Hawks)

Small Forward

Kelly Oubre Jr. - Golden State Warriors (vs. Atlanta Hawks)

The Draymond Green news is significant in order for Kelly Oubre to hit value. If you’re going to consider rostering Oubre please make sure you’re verifying confirmed lineups because this investment is contingent upon Green NOT playing tonight. If Green is out, Oubre will see an increase in shots, rebounds, minutes, and more. Oubre Jr. is at reasonable pricing on all major daily fantasy sites so if the news breaks that Draymond is out, fire up Kelly Oubre Jr. for all daily fantasy formats. The Warriors are underdogs at +1 currently with a 229 O/U on Pointsbet.com.

Other SF Options: Tobias Harris - Philadelphia 76ers (vs. Memphis Grizzlies)

Power Forward

Michael Porter Jr. - Denver Nuggets (vs. Orlando Magic)

The NBC Sports Edge NBA Optimizer loves Porter Jr. tonight against the Orlando Magic. The Nuggets are currently -16.5 point favorites with a 213.5 O/U on Pointsbet.com. Nikola Jokic is an easy lock and you’ll see why in my Center write-up but Porter Jr. could be a sneaky candidate capable of vulturing points and rebounds from Jokic. Porter Jr. is THE pivot off of a chalky Nikola Jokic investment. Porter Jr. has averaged 39.3 fantasy points per game over his last four games while shooting 60 % from the field.

Other PF Option: Draymond Green - Golden State Warriors (vs. Atlanta Hawks)

Center

Nikola Jokic - Denver Nuggets (vs. Orlando Magic)

The Nuggets are currently -16.5 point favorites with a 213.5 O/U on Pointsbet.com. This cannot be ignored. You’re either investing in only Nuggets and not the Magic (blowout narrative exposure) or you’re investing in players from both teams (close-game narrative exposure). Regardless, this is the game that you’re going to want to get right. Nikola Jokic should reach value regardless of how you foresee this game playing out but as I mentioned above, Porter Jr. is a viable pivot. Jokic has averaged 46.8 fantasy points over his last four games. His production over his last two games against the 76ers and the Clippers was disappointing. This is the perfect bounce-back spot against a hobbled Magic squad. In Jokic’s only game against Orlando & Nikola Vucevic this season he totaled 28 actual points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists over 36 minutes of play.

Other C Option: Wendell Carter Jr. - Orlando Magic (vs. Denver Nuggets)
