On Wednesdays, we'll introduce the students who make up Year 8 of High School Confidential, powered by Danville Area Community College. Next up: Urbana's Eisla Madigan. Follow her on Snapchat (@eisla123) and Instagram (@eislamad).

As much fun as Eisla Madigan had as a credentialed journalist at Sunday's Foreigner concert, she figures her parents — Sinead and Mike — had even more of a blast.

"They were in the first row, and they loved it. My mom was singing and dancing, and my dad was into it," the Urbana High senior said. "My parents raised me on classic rock."

The WHMS contest that allowed Urbana's choir to join the band at State Farm Center also included a credential for Eisla, who enjoyed backstage access. Her coverage will play out on the cover of Thursday's High School Confidential section.

Eisla is a well-rounded Tiger. She advanced to last week's IHSA state tennis tournament in doubles and is hoping to qualify for a second consecutive year for the IHSA's state journalism competition. She hasn't made her college decision yet — Northwestern is the top target — but she will pursue journalism wherever she lands.

"One-hundred percent," she said. "I enjoy all aspects: talking to people, doing interviews, taking pictures, writing. It's a fun way to be part of my school community and overall community."
