Top 3-point shooters in NBA history: Dame joins exclusive club originally appeared on NBC Sports Philadelphia

Damian Lillard made history Tuesday night in Indiana.

The All-Star guard became just the 10th player ever to eclipse the 2,000 career made 3-pointers mark by knocking down four triples in the Trail Blazers' blowout win over the Indiana Pacers.

Lillard reached the milestone in his 671st game, a pace bested only by Stephen Curry, who achieved the feat in his 597th game.

Here's a look at the 10 members of the 2,000 3-pointers club:

  1. Ray Allen (2,973 3-pointers)

  2. Stephen Curry (2,773)

  3. Reggie Miller (2,560)

  4. Kyle Korver (2,450)

  5. James Harden (2,441)

  6. Vince Carter (2,290)

  7. Jason Terry (2,282)

  8. Jamal Crawford (2,221)

  9. Paul Pierce (2,143)

  10. Damian Lillard (2,001)

The only former Sixer on this list is Kyle Korver, who splashed a total of 661 3-pointers during his four-plus seasons in Philly. But another ex-Sixer sharpshooter is closing in on the milestone, as JJ Redick needs 53 more 3s to reach 2,000. The current Sixer who’s closest to 2,000 triples is Danny Green with 1,434. The most 3-pointers Green has made in a single season is 198, so the 33-year-old wing likely will need at least three more years to have a real shot at it.
