2020 was a year in which top-ten lists fail to capture all of the feelings from a difficult year in almost every aspect. For the NBA, it involved a season that started and ended multiple times and for LeBron James, a year unlike any other, somehow ending in a championship. For LeBron Wire, it was a difficult year for us too, starting and stopping a season amidst a pandemic, creating other content when no games were happening, and otherwise trying to keep the lights on. But I’m not going to take any more time describing the past year before showing you the stories that most people clicked on in 2020.

LeBron James has been in the league for a very long time and has become the elder statesman of the league. As players entering the league are closer in age to his son Bronny, players have started to refer to LeBron and his wife as elders.

TikTok continues to sweep the internet as one of the biggest sources of entertainment on the world wide web. The James Brothers are naturals in the game.

7. LeBron James supports Jeanie Buss after sharing message from racist

Lakers owner Jeanie Buss has always tried to have the franchise at the forefront of issues of race. In 2020 in which the racist treatment of Black citizens was again a dominant theme, Jeanie Buss shared a message from a racist to show what kind of vitriol she receives as an NBA owner who supports her players. LeBron James' support for Buss was one of our highest trafficked stories of the year.
8. LeBron James criticizes Kentucky for closing thousands of polling places
In addition to trying to win an NBA championship, voter suppression became one of LeBron's new challenges in 2020. Using his celebrity, connections, and networking, he worked to positively affect voter turnout across the country. He was much more vocal this year when it came to vocal suppression, including in Kentucky.
