Tony Vitello recaps Vols’ win against Tennessee Tech

No. 5 Tennessee (22-4, 3-3 SEC) defeated Tennessee Tech (13-12, 1-2 OVC), 11-1 in seven innings, on Tuesday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Rankings reflect the USA TODAY Sports baseball coaches poll.

The Vols ended a two-game losing streak to Tennessee Tech.

Dylan Loy, Derek Schaefer (2-0), Austin Hunley, Matthew Dallas, Chris Stamos, Brayden Sharp and Marcus Phillips all pitched for the Vols on Tuesday and allowed a combined three hits.

Reese Chapman started in right field for the Vols and went 4-for-4, recording five RBIs and two runs. He hit a three-run home run.
