Tony Vitello recaps run-rule win versus Bowling Green

No. 8 Tennessee (9-1) defeated Bowling Green (2-5), 11-1 in eight innings, on Friday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

AJ Causey (2-0) started for Tennessee and pitched seven innings, recording nine strikeouts. He totaled 78 pitches, including 50 strikes, against 22 batters.

The Vols also hit four home runs in the contest: Billy Amick (2), Blake Burke and Dean Curley.

Game No. 2 between Tennessee and Bowling Green is slated for 5 p.m. EST on Saturday. The contest can be watched on SEC Network+. Andy Brock (play-by-play) and Caylan Arnold (analyst) will be on the call.
