University of Tennessee head coach Tony Vitello has earned another postseason award.

Vitello, who recently completed his fourth season as the Volunteers’ head coach, was named ABCA/ATEC Southeast Regional Coach of the Year.

Vitello guided Tennessee to a Southeastern Conference Eastern Division championship and its first trip to the College World Series since 2005.

He was also named 2021 National Coach of the Year by Perfect Game and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

The Vols went 50-18 in 2021.

Tennessee swept LSU in the Knoxville Super Regional to earn its fifth trip to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska in program history.
