Tony Vitello discusses Vols’ 11-game win-streak ending versus Boston College

Boston College (9-1) defeated No. 2 Tennessee (11-3), 7-6, in 10 innings at Lindsey Nelson Stadium on Tuesday.

The victory is the ninth in a row for the Eagles, while Tennessee’s 11-game winning streak ended.

Pitcher Matthew Nunan (1-0) earned the victory for the Eagles. Seth Halvorsen (1-1) suffered the loss for Tennessee.

Ahead of playing Tennessee, Boston College recorded a series sweep at Kennesaw State and won two of three games at Pepperdine. The Eagles defeated Bucknell, Canisius and Rutgers in Charleston, South Carolina.
