A familiar script played out Monday night in Tampa Bay -- with a less familiar ending.

Tom Brady and the Buccaneers offense took the field on their own 19-yard line trailing by three with 2:32 remaining in their Week 11 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.

That left plenty of time for the former New England Patriots quarterback to lead his millionth game-winning drive. But the Rams exacted some Super Bowl LIII revenge on Brady: Los Angeles cornerback Jordan Fuller intercepted the QB on a badly overthrown ball to seal a 27-24 victory.

Brady appeared to cross wires with tight end Cameron Brate on the interception, his second of the night and ninth on the season (surpassing his total from 2019).

"Just a bad read,” Brady told reporters after the game. "Cam was running up a seam and at the last second I saw the safety coming over and just popped it over Cam’s head. Just a bad read, a bad throw, decision – everything. Can’t happen."

Brady lit up the Carolina Panthers in Week 10 but had a much tougher time Monday night against an aggressive Rams defense. Here's the 43-year-old QB's final stat line:

26 for 48, 216 yards, two passing TDs, two INTs, 62.5 passer rating

Brady targeted Antonio Brown a game-high 13 times, converting eight completions to the ex-Patriots wide receiver for 57 yards.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski caught just two passes for 25 yards, as wideouts Mike Evans and Chris Godwin hauled in Brady's two TD passes.

Here are the highlights (and lowlights) from Brady's Week 11 performance:

Evans does the heavy lifting on Brady's first TD pass of the night:

Brady sails a pass intended for Godwin into the hands of Fuller for his first of two picks:

This play might be nightmare fuel for Raiders fans who are trying to forget about the "Tuck Rule" ...

Godwin goes airborne to give Brady his second TD pass of the game:

Another look at Brady's late pick to Fuller, who also happened to be drafted No. 199 overall:

The Bucs dropped to 7-4 with the loss and would be the No. 6 seed in the NFC playoffs if the season ended today. They face another daunting matchup next Sunday in Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
