Club Brugge put in another strong display to overcome Genk for the second time this week. The side ran out 3-0 winners to remain in the hunt for their 19th Belgian top flight title. Despite going into the play-offs 19 points behind leaders Union St Gilloise, the format and the halving of points has seen a now in form Club Brugge look like the best team in the league. Nicky Hayen, given caretaker charge of the side after the dismissal of Rony Deila, certainly deserves a lot of credit.

Club will hope they can continue this recent good form this Thursday when they face Fiorentina in the first leg of their Conference League semi-final. They are in Italy for the first leg before the second leg in Brugge on Wednesday the 8th of May.
