Vic Beasley got a one-year, $9.5 million fully guaranteed contract from the Tennessee Titans, and then went AWOL when training camp started.
Beasley was put on the reserve/did not report list when he didn’t come in for COVID-19 testing.
That’s not the news the Titans wanted at the start of camp.
Vic Beasley doesn’t report on time
It was initially reported the Titans had not been in contact with Beasley. Team general manager Jon Robinson issued a statement Thursday stating he has talked to Beasley, and that the team considers Beasley’s absence “unexcused.”

The team expects Beasley to report to camp “in the near future.”
Beasley has spent first five seasons with Falcons
Beasley has had an up-and-down NFL career.
He came into the league as the eighth pick of the 2015 NFL draft, then had a huge season in 2016. He led the NFL with 15.5 sacks and made first-team All-Pro. In the three seasons since, Beasley had 18 sacks combined. The Falcons signed pass rusher Dante Fowler Jr. this offseason to replace him, as Beasley settled for a one-year deal in Tennessee.
So far his Titans career is off to an inauspicious start.
