Titans interviewed Tim Kelly for offensive coordinator job
The Tennessee Titans reportedly now have one in-house candidate for their vacant offensive coordinator position.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Titans have completed an interview with passing game coordinator Tim Kelly. This is the first known completed interview Tennessee has conducted for the opening.
The Titans have also requested three interviews with outside candidates in Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy and senior assistant and quarterbacks coach Matt Nagy, and Atlanta Falcons quarterbacks coach, Charles London.
Kelly is certainly qualified after having served as the offensive coordinator with the Houston Texans from 2019-21.
But the consensus among Titans fans and media is this team needs new blood at the offensive coordinator position instead of simply promoting from within, especially from a coaching staff that didn’t have much success.
The Titans went outside the organization for their general manager in Ran Carthon, and now it’s time to do the same at offensive coordinator.
