Chicago Bears fans didn’t have much to invest in during the first round of the 2022 NFL draft. That’s what happens when your team doesn’t have a first-round pick for the third time in the last four years.

But rest assured, there’s plenty of action coming on Day 2 of the draft, where the Bears have three selections — including two in the second round at 39th and 48th overall.

So when exactly can Bears fans expect to the team to make their first selection?

With the way things panned out last year, it looks like Chicago will be picking at 39th overall around 6:44 p.m. CT. Coincidentally, the Bears selected offensive tackle Teven Jenkins with that same pick in 2021.

The Bears have a slew of needs to address in this draft, where general manager Ryan Poles will be looking to add some impact players. There are some glaring needs at wide receiver, offensive line and cornerback, among others.

But it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Poles perhaps trade down from 39th overall or perhaps 48th overall, their other second-rounder. Chicago also has the 71st overall selection in the third round.
