No. 1 overall pick Anthony Edwards on Wednesday produced a team-high 24 points to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 102-101 victory over the New York Knicks, capping off an incredible month of March for the 19-year-old.

Trailing by 11 points entering the fourth quarter, Edwards took over down the stretch, scoring 12 points alone in the period to help the Timberwolves complete the comeback win. He finished the contest by shooting 9-of-16 from the field, including 2-of-7 from 3-point range.

With his first 3-pointer of the evening, Edwards reached 100 triples on the season to become the third-youngest player in history to reach that mark, behind only Kevin Knox and Kobe Bryant. He became the youngest player in Timberwolves history to hit 100 3-pointers.

Edwards finished off the month of March in some elite company following a run of some incredible performances. In 13 games during the month, Edwards averaged 24.2 points per game, which ranked third-most in history by a teenager, according to StatMuse.

After an up and down start to the season, Edwards has been on a complete tear as of late and is beginning to solidify his place among the top rookies this year. His blend of strength and athleticism has been on display during his recent run as he has proven to be tough to stop.

Perhaps the scary part is Edwards is just getting started. The obstacles and hurdles surrounding this season have been on full display, but it appears as though Edwards is finally in a groove on the court and that should only continue over the final two months of the season.
