Shop In The Know cover star Luka Sabbat's show-stopping looks
“Now, Kim. Kim Kardashian,” Alexandria started the clip. “We’re going to need to have a f****** conversation because I got Skims for Christmas and … let me just show you what I got and let me talk about the sizing because the sizing is what’s really troubling me.”
“This is a Large/Extra Large!” Alexandria exclaimed, holding up the item. “This does not stretch! When I tell you I couldn’t even get this past up my thigh…”
Alexandria added that all of the Kardashian sisters have body types that would also make it hard for them to wear the underwear.
“My question to you, Kim Kardashian, is: What size are you wearing in your line?” Alexandria asked. “Because you are not wearing a Large/Extra Large.”
The Skims site does advise that “this item intentionally runs smaller for a compressive look and feel. If you prefer more comfort for everyday wear, we recommend selecting a size up.”
While some commenters asked Alexandria to at least try it on — “I PROMISE it fits!!!” a top comment reads — most were stunned by the sizing.
“How many bad products do they have to put out before people stop spending money?” one person asked.
“Skams instead of Skims,” another joked.
One commenter ignited a thread of confused replies after they wrote, “I wear a size 6 in jeans and a small dress. I wear a 4X in Skims.”
“This is mind-boggling,” a commenter said.
In a follow-up video, Alexandria demonstrated her struggling to pull the underwear over her thighs. In the TikTok, Alexandria noted that she was wearing Skims leggings and a Skims bra, both in a size Large. She also disclaimed that she didn’t want to stretch the underwear too hard because she was planning on returning them.
“Oh my god, it hurts,” she said while pulling the shapewear up. “It’s cutting off my circulation.”
