Tigers of the Game: Dominant performances by Green, Broome lead to win at South Carolina

The No. 16 Auburn Tigers earned their fifth straight win on Saturday, defeating South Carolina in convincing fashion, 81-66.

The win was also Auburn’s third straight road win and its second straight win of 15 or more points.

Many Tigers had a hand in the victory, which made this edition of “Tigers of the Game” a tough vote. Johni Broome led the team in scoring and in rebounds, while Wendell Green Jr. posted a double-double that included a season-high in assists. Jaylin Williams had yet another solid game by scoring 12 points and securing six rebounds, while Allen Flanigan was two points away from earning the team’s third double-double with eight points and ten rebounds.

But, after careful consideration, the writers at Auburn Wire as well as Auburn fans have submitted their votes for Tiger of the Game.

Here’s a look at who Taylor JonesJ.D. McCarthy, and River Wells, as well as Auburn fans, voted for as their  “Tiger of the Game” following Auburn’s road win over South Carolina on Saturday afternoon.
