Norview (1-5) at Maury (3-4) . . . It’ll be a special night at Powhatan Field in Norfolk as the Commodores retire jersey #4 of one of their all-time greats, current Seattle Seahawks Pro Bowl safety Kam Chancellor. Ironically, it’s on a night where his former teammate, Maury Head Coach Dyrii McCain, goes up against the guy that coached them both in Norview sideline boss Dealton Cotton. McCain previously was the offensive coordinator for the Pilots, so he’s familiar with them just like Cotton is with his former play-caller. And not to be lost in all of this is the importance of this game for both squads.

Maury is currently sitting in the eighth and final playoff spot, but Norview can shake things up a bit and keep their postseason hopes alive with a win here. The Commodores go for their first victory over the Pilots since 2013.

Matt Says: Norview 22-18

Coach Young Says: Maury 20-18

After beating Churchland by two touchdowns and Bethel 21-14, the Warriors have been outscored 160-31 during its skid. Kecoughtan won last year’s encounter 42-30 and will try to make it four in a row over the Patriots.

Matt Says: Kecoughtan 13-6

Coach Young Says: Kecoughtan 24-12

York (4-2) at Jamestown (2-4) . . . A season ago, Jamestown won 24-21 over York to snap a five-game losing streak to the Falcons. While York comes in with the better record and postseason position, the Eagles have won two of their past three games, which include blanking Bruton 24-0. The Falcons have dropped two of its last three, giving up 46 points to Smithfield and 45 to Lafayette in those defeats.
