Thunder vs. Nets: Last matchup

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (31 points) and Durant (36 points) dueled it out, but Oklahoma City got the better of the Nets. The key was bench production: Hamidou Diallo excelled back in his home state, scoring 25 points on 10-for-14 shooting -- and he was 9-for-10 from 2-point range -- and Isaiah Roby had 13 points. Those two outscored the entire Brooklyn bench on their own. After the game, Nets head coach Steve Nash said he didn't sense pride in his team. “I didn’t sense the competitive fire in the second half. I thought it was a lack of respect," he said. The full-force Nets will get to try to show a different face against OKC on Friday.

Nets' season

Kyrie Irving is back. After sitting out seven games for personal reasons, he rejoined the team, and he had a new star teammate when he returned. Irving, Harden and Durant make up a Brooklyn big three that's still trying to find its footing. They lost their first game all together, and then Durant was out the second game, which the Nets also lost. After falling to the Cleveland Cavaliers in both those games, Brooklyn won the next three games. Since Irving returned, he is averaging 29.0 points, 5.2 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game. Over that same span, Harden is posting 20.6 points, 11.4 assists and 6.8 rebounds. In Durant's four games since Irving came back, he has averaged 30.3 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists. The Thunder won't have to deal with Durant, who is out for injury management, but they'll have to find a way to stop the other two stars.
