The Oklahoma City Thunder continue their road trip by heading to the Big Apple for a game against the New York Knicks on Friday night.

The Thunder will look for their second win in a row after taking down the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday.

They’ll face a Knicks team that has been one of the pleasant surprises of the year so far. Holding a 5-3 record, New York is tied with the Milwaukee Bucks for fifth place in the Eastern Conference.

Here are the details of how to watch:

Opponent: New York Knicks
Date and time: Jan. 8, 6:30 p.m. CT
How to watch: FOX Sports Oklahoma
Radio station: WWLS 98.1FM OKC

Thunder: What to watch for

Darius Bazley has been a catalyst for the Thunder on both ends of the court. He has posted three triple-doubles this season, and over the last two games he went on solo runs in which he scored eight consecutive points (against the Miami Heat) and 11 straight points (against the Pelicans). He did so while being the primary defender of Jimmy Butler and Zion Williamson in those games, respectively. Bazley will likely get another tough matchup this game from a player who is having an All-Star season: Julius Randle.

Knicks' season

Randle has been superb. Calling his play All-Star-level is probably underselling it; if he can somehow keep his pace of 23.1 points, 12.1 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game, he would be in the All-NBA conversation. In almost 40 minutes last game, a 12-point win over the Utah Jazz, Randle posted 30 points, 16 boards and seven assists. Tom Thibodeau has done an excellent job coaching New York this season. He'll try to lead them to a 6-3 record through nine games.
