Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Hamidou Diallo suffered an ankle injury in their 123-95 win against the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena in Oakland on Wednesday night, and was taken off the court in a stretcher.

Diallo went up for a rebound with Warriors forward Jonas Jerebko in front of the rim midway through the fourth quarter. The pair collided in the air, and Diallo twisted his left ankle completely as the pair fell to the ground.

The 20-year-old could be seen writhing in pain as he crawled toward the baseline, where he stayed for several minutes while the medical staff attended to him.

Diallo was then taken off the court in a stretcher after his leg was stabilized.

Diallo received x-rays right after at the arena, and the Warriors’ physicians ruled out any “severe lower body injuries.” He will travel back to Oklahoma City with the team and be further evaluated more on Thursday, and are calling it an ankle sprain.

The forward finished the game with three points and six rebound, shooting 1-of-6 from the field. He averaged 6.5 points and 2.5 rebound in 14.4 minutes per game so far this season.

The Thunder cruised to the 28-point win behind a big fourth quarter where they held the Warriors to just 16 points. Paul George led the Thunder with 25 points and nine rebounds, shooting 10-of-23 from the field. Point guard Russell Westbrook recorded his first triple-double of the season, too, dropping 11 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds.

Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Draymond Green did not play in the loss — which marked Golden State’s first four-game losing streak in six years. Curry has been recovering from a groin injury, and Green is still recovering from a toe injury.
