Thunder at Blazers: OKC suffers most lopsided loss in team history

With several key players continuing to miss time with injuries, the Oklahoma City Thunder’s rough go as of late hit an all-time low on Saturday night in Portland. The Thunder suffered a franchise-worst 48-point loss to the Trail Blazers, 133-85. Were it not for a late bucket by Isaiah Roby, the Thunder also would have been a casualty of the most lopsided victory in Blazers history.

Kenrich Williams led the Thunder with 18 points off the bench while Moses Brown had 10 and 14 rebounds. Tony Bradley and Darius Miller were the only other Thunder players to score in double-figures. The good news for Oklahoma City is they get to go back home for their next four games. Ideally, they will get better news that key players like Bazley, Dort, and Gilgeous-Alexander will get healthy.

Of course, everyone knows that losing is in this team’s long-term plans as they continue to rebuild. But it doesn’t need to be as ugly as it was tonight.

Blowouts are going around

With the exception Enes Kanter, everyone on the court was in their early 20s and the 4th quarter looked like March Madness more than it did a normal NBA game. But that is also the type of weekend we've had in the league. Golden State and Orlando both suffered massive blowouts of their own, so the Thunder aren't alone in having a historically bad night this weekend.
