Three Tennessee players have received preseason All-America honors.

Blade Tidwell, Jordan Beck and Evan Russell were named preseason All-America by Collegiate Baseball.

Tidwell, a sophomore pitcher, was named to the first-team. Beck, a junior outfielder, was named to the second team, while Russell, a sixth-year senior who will be the Volunteers’ starting catcher in 2022, was a third-team selection.

All three players return from last year’s team that won 50 games as Southeastern Conference Eastern Division champions, while appearing in the College World Series.

Tidwell, who will look to anchor UT’s pitching staff in 2022, went 10-3 last season.

Beck hit 15 home runs last season and drove in 64 runs.

Russell had a career-high 14 home runs and 43 RBIs in 2021.
